Dania Chebib, MA, RCC

Dania is a psychotherapist and a Registered Clinical Counsellor at Helix. She holds a masters degree in Clinical Psychology and is registered with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC).

Dania brings a warm and collaborative approach to her clinical work. She believes that therapeutic change is best facilitated when the client has a sense of safety and understanding with their therapist. Dania utilizes research-based, trauma-informed, and culturally-sensitive practices to effectively support her clients’ mental health and wellness.

Dania received her masters degree in Clinical Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. She elected to go to California to learn about integrative mind/body approaches to psychotherapy. There she trained in mindfulness-based and attachment-focused psychotherapies within both research and clinical environments. Dania worked in the Bay Area serving diverse communities dealing with a variety of mental health issues. She is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental illness through the use of multimedia and technology.

Dania was inspired to pursue clinical psychology through her previous work as a holistic nutritionist and lymphatic therapist. She was struck by how often her clients simply needed someone to talk to. Often times they shared stories about grief, loss, loneliness, and the mental/emotional impact of living with chronic illness. Dania grew increasingly interested in understanding more about mental health and its impact on our daily lives.

Her areas of specialization include:

  • Self-Esteem & Negative Self-Talk
  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Grief & Loss
  • Trauma & Stress
  • ADHD & Learning Disabilities
